CLODINAFOP-PROPARGYL 2.5% + PINOXADEN 2.5% EC

A selective post-emergence emulsifiable concentrate (EC) herbicide designed for the effective control of annual grassy weeds in wheat. The dual-active formulation provides rapid foliar uptake, systemic translocation, and reliable control of susceptible grass weeds, helping to improve crop growth and yield.

Phalaris minor, Avena ludoviciana, Avena fatua, Lolium spp. & Polypogon monspeliensis
Mode of Action
HRAC Group 1 / Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase (ACCase) Enzyme Inhibition
Use Sites / Crops
Wheat
Active: Clodinafop-propargyl + Pinoxaden Formulation: EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate) Selective Post-Emergence Systemic Dual HRAC Group 1 Action

Product Information

Mode of Action

Clodinafop-propargyl and Pinoxaden (HRAC Group 1) inhibit the acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) enzyme, disrupting fatty acid biosynthesis required for cell membrane formation and plant growth. Susceptible grass weeds cease growing shortly after application, experience systemic tissue chlorosis at meristematic zones, and undergo gradual dieback.

Target Weeds
  • Phalaris minor (Canarygrass)
  • Avena ludoviciana (Wild oat)
  • Avena fatua (Wild oat)
  • Lolium spp. (Ryegrass)
  • Polypogon monspeliensis (Beard grass)
  • Annual grassy weeds

Recommended Application Guidance

Crop Target Weeds Dosage & Method of Application
Wheat Annual grassy weeds Apply as a post-emergence spray when weeds are at the 2–4 leaf stage and actively growing, using the recommended label dosage. Ensure thorough and uniform spray coverage for optimum weed control.
For specific ml/ha dosage rates and local spray volume recommendations in wheat, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.

Application Instructions

1. Post-Emergence Timing (2–4 Grass Leaf Stage)
Apply as a post-emergence foliar spray when target annual grass weeds are actively growing at the 2–4 leaf stage to maximize ACCase enzyme inhibition and systemic translocation.
2. Uniform Spray Coverage
Ensure thorough and uniform spray coverage over weed foliage using calibrated boom sprayers. Adequate foliar coverage is critical for optimum uptake of the emulsifiable concentrate formulation.

Safety & Environmental Care

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, face mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid spray drift onto non-target cereal crops and nearby water bodies. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
